Fahan Senior Boarding Residence Redevelopment

Macquarie Builders were selected for the redevelopment of the Senior Boarding Residence at Fahan School in Sandy Bay, Tasmania. Seamless collaboration across trades exemplifies construction excellence in this significant community-focussed development.

Extensive works have been carried out to transform a deteriorating, outdated facility into a unique, multi-functional hub for support and wellbeing. Incorporating a new entry, new lift, two classrooms, a guided learning teaching space, offices and councillor rooms, and all necessary amenities. Major works involved demolition, servicing and substantial hard and soft landscaping to make the building fit for purpose, fully accessible and energy efficient.

Featuring light-filled versatile learning areas to complement the campus’ gardens, a meticulously crafted outdoor seating area designed for student engagement, and contemporary finishes throughout; the project is a fundamental educational and community asset for Fahan School.

Macquarie Builders have once again demonstrated exceptional capability through a suite of diverse projects, which has resulted in work of the highest quality and a strengthened relationship with a valuable client. This project was completed in May 2025.
