Wrest Point Casino Water’s Edge & Riviera Accommodation Refurbishment

Macquarie Builders were chosen for the refurbishment of the Water’s Edge accommodation and Riviera corridors at Wrest Point Casino in Sandy Bay, Tasmania. This project showcases the builder’s skill, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality, honoring the past while embracing a vibrant contemporary vision.

Scope of works involved a complete renovation of 40 guest rooms and bathrooms, requiring careful demolition to preserve original elements, incorporating premium finishes, while upholding the Casino’s historic architectural influences from the 1970’s. Exceptional site management and subcontractor co-ordination ensured noise and access restrictions were addressed, enabling the hotel to remain virtually fully operational throughout construction. The efficient approaches adopted to manage these challenges demonstrates Macquarie Builder’s skill, knowledge and application, without compromising quality.

Macquarie Builders have previously completed refurbishments to the Casino’s Riverview Gaming area, WC’s & Corridors, the Mezzanine, Smokehouse Restaurant, Kitchen, Cocktail Bar, Reception, Club Forte, Showroom, Façade and External Works in 2022 to mark the Hotel’s 50^th anniversary. This project expands their portfolio of construction excellence, further strengthening the relationship with a valuable client. This project was completed in September 2024.
