Alma Street Children’s Services Building

Macquarie Builders were contracted by Clarence City Council to for the construction of a new Child Care and After School hours Care Facility at Alma Street, Bellerive. This project reflects construction excellence and refined execution across an award-winning build.
Major works included demolition, construction of a new building, substantial landscaping, and playground works to create a high-quality, purpose-built early learning environment. Works required meticulous planning, complex detailing, and perfect alignment, indicating an exemplary level of construction proficiency.
The project, designed by 1+2 Architecture, won the 2025 RAIA Tasmanian Chapter Award for Educational Architecture. This achievement reinforces the builder’s reputation for bespoke commercial construction, showcasing superior craftsmanship to deliver architectural excellence with flawless execution. The award recognizes the Centre’s commitment to creating a nurturing and inspiring environment for children, contributing lasting value to the Tasmanian community.
