Macquarie Builders were engaged by Silverleaf Investments to deliver a complex major upgrade to a part of the existing Cat & Fiddle Arcade in Hobart, Tasmania. This project is a remarkable showcase of refined craftsmanship and builder expertise on a logistically challenging worksite.

Scope of works consisted of new entry lifts, several new tenancies, amenities and foyer areas. The project required complex engineering, seamlessly integrated structural modifications, and specialised technical expertise to ensure safety and compliance. The upgrade will significantly increase accessibility, as well as improve and modernise the customer experience.

Working within a busy CBD precinct posed substantial challenges, particularly around waste removal and operating after trading hours. With strategic planning and a solutions-focussed approach, the dedicated construction team ensured works progressed efficiently, with minimal disruptions to the public and surrounding businesses.
